Marc Lanteri • 1 Michelin Star in 2020

The story of Marc Lanteri

Marc was born in 1968 in Tenda, a small village just across the border from Piedmont, on the French side of the Roya Valley, a region strongly influenced by Italian culinary traditions. Having made his mark at the Hotel School in Menton, Marc embarked on an intensive training journey, working alongside some of the greatest figures in contemporary cuisine, including Alain Ducasse, Christian Morisset, Michel Rostang, Enzo Santin, Annie Feolde, and Paolo Teverini, who would shape his style and set profound guidelines for his work.

Until 2022, Marc Lanteri ran his restaurant in the enchanting setting of the Grinzane di Cavour Castle, the historic residence of Count Benso di Cavour and for years now a focal point on the international scene as the venue for the World White Truffle Auction of Alba. In addition to earning two Espresso Hats and a Gambero Rosso Fork, in 2019 he created his two Meal Kits with Fratelli Desideri.

He held a Michelin Star from 2009 to 2020.

In July 2023, Marc opened his current eponymous restaurant located in Castagnito d'Alba, in the Langhe.
