Felix was born in Molfetta in 1973 and trained at leading gourmet restaurants in Italy and abroad. In 2011, he was awarded his first prestigious Michelin star.
With a refined style that constantly balances creativity and research, he makes quality and respect for ingredients his starting point. His cuisine was born by the sea and grew up in the mountains: the common thread is the search for quality products, the desire to experiment with shapes and colors, and to blend flavors.
A high-level cuisine, sophisticated in the preparation of dishes yet firmly rooted in tradition and Italian ingredients. Intuition, imagination, innovation, and creativity are the pillars of his culinary approach.
In 2016, the Felix Lo Basso restaurant opened in Piazza Duomo in Milan, while in 2018, Memorie di Felix Lo Basso Restaurant opened in Trani. Both restaurants quickly earned the prestigious Michelin star.
At the end of 2020, he opened the doors to his new Milanese “home”: Felix Lo Basso Home & Restaurant, the only new Michelin star in Milan for 2022, whose concept is an evolution of the “fine dining” experience born from the Chef’s creativity; breaking down the barriers between him and the guest, thereby fostering conversation, while his art is expressed through the preparation and presentation of a constantly evolving surprise tasting menu.
The Best Chef Awards 2022 named Felix Lo Basso among the 100 best chefs in the world.
On February 20, 2025, he moved his restaurant from Milan to Lugano, Switzerland, earning a Michelin star in the 2026 edition, less than a year after opening.
