The story of Matteo Canzi

Born and raised in Brianza, Matteo developed a passion for cooking at a very young age: “I used to have fun making a mess in the kitchen with my grandmother,” he says. Four years ago, during the Christmas season, he prepared a Beef Wellington: “It was my first technically complex recipe, and it turned out very well, so this is my path,” he says; since then, he hasn’t stopped, studying and experimenting with every dish and technique, including those from other cultures (his favorites are Spanish and Japanese). Cooking is the center of his world. He participates in MasterChef Italia with the dream of becoming a private chef and with three goals: “To gain more experience, to make a name for myself so I can build a client base, and to win.”

On March 5, 2026, Matteo Canzi reaches the final, and in the tense final round, he is proclaimed the winner of the 15th season of the world’s most famous cooking show, with his tasting menu “Tutto di me.” He has also written his first cookbook, *Il gusto del perché – Nulla si crea. Nulla si distrugge. Tutto si cucina* (The Taste of Why – Nothing Is Created. Nothing Is Destroyed. Everything Is Cooked).
