Born in Altamura, in Apulia, Francesco Aquila moved at a young age to Riccione, in Emilia-Romagna, where he still lives today. Raised in a family of restaurateurs, he learned to work in the kitchen from a young age, developing a passion for cooking that led him to train as a maître d’ as well.
His victory on MasterChef Italia 10 came after a hard-fought final, in which he presented a tasting menu titled “My Way,” which won over both the judges and the audience. Thanks to this success, he had the opportunity to publish his first cookbook, “My Way. Zio Bricco che ricette!,” released in 2021 and which became a bestseller.
After the cooking show, he embarked on a television career, hosting programs such as “Il volo dell’Aquila” and “L’Italia a morsi al ristorante” on the Food Network, where he brought his vision of accessible gourmet cuisine to restaurants across Italy.
His style combines technique, creativity, and exceptional communication skills, making him one of the most original and beloved figures in the Italian culinary scene.
